Opening the door to our room at the Iberostar Selection Lagos Algarve was an unexpected surprise. The hotel is a 5 min walk from the beach to, and what a beautiful beach it is! I did really really enjoy the food itself, but was beginning to tire of it by the end. The balcony was quite large too. Check in was quite lengthy, and we were sent away to have a drink while they sorted things out, I don't know why it took so long - we had checked in online as requested, and as it was nearly 8pm we just wanted to get settled in quickly. On arrival at 11am I was told I would need to wait until 3pm to check in and reception took my number and said they would call if my room was ready sooner, in the meantime they would store my luggage and I was welcome to enjoy the facilities.
